Board Member
I have extensive experience in governance across sport and community organisations, grounded in a values-led and relational approach to leadership. I currently serve as Deputy Chair of Women in Sport Aotearoa and have also spent time on the Sport New Zealand Board, alongside holding a range of regional and national governance roles.
I have experience in whole of sport system approaches to governance. I am also confident in engaging with strategies after having gone through 4x strategic refreshes and helping to manage organisations under fiscal pressure.
My governance practice is shaped by kaupapa Māori understandings of leadership, with emphasis on whanaungatanga, collective responsibility, and upholding mana within decision-making spaces.
This is supported by completing the Te Iti Kōpara Crown Entity Governance course, and recognition as a nominee for the 2024 Women in Governance Rising Star Award. Across all board roles, I bring strengths in strategy, facilitation, and navigating complex kōrero, with a focus on governance that serves people, relationships, and long-term wellbeing.
